Beta 1 and the future of Mortal

Hey there, I'm Ashley, the co-founder of Enjoyment Juice and the sole developer of Mortal. When Alpha 2 launched, I teased Alpha 3 with the promise of focusing on adding music. I'm sorry to say that I'm going to be breaking that promise. I want to focus on fleshing the gameplay out, so I've decided to keep music for the end of development. Because of the focus on gameplay, Alpha 3 has been cancelled in favor of Beta 1, which will introduce the core gameplay loop with a short chunk of what is currently planned for the game. I'm going to be moving soon and have other things to work on, so Beta 1 will take a while. Please stay tuned, and remember to try out Alpha 2 and give feedback! Thank you.
